Eight Capital Management LLC, commenced operations in September 2005. The firm is registered with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) as an investment advisor in the USA and as a Financial Institutional Investor (FII) with Securities and Exchange Board of India (S.E.B.I.). Currently the firm manages one Hedge fund “Eight Capital Master Fund”, an India focused distressed and special situations fund launched in January 2006. The investment research, operations and support is carried out in its affiliate office in Mumbai, India. The fund manager works out of New York with a small support team there as well. Investor relations are managed both out of New York and Mumbai.
