Fund Manager / Chief Investment Officer : Ravi Chachra

The portfolio manager and Chief Investment Officer for the Eight Capital funds is Mr. Ravi Chachra. Mr. Ravi Chachra has consistently outperformed the broader distressed markets while managing distressed portfolios for J. Goldman and the Chatterjee Group. Earlier in his career, he ran profitable trading books focused on emerging market debt and currencies for Deutsche Bank Proprietary Trading Division and J.P. Morgan Chase.

Fund Partner: Vikram Chachra

Mr. Vikram Chachra was the managing partner at Impactix, a New York based M&A advisor to companies in the wireless sector. Prior to that he was heading the mobile division for Snapfish.com. Vikram was part of the turnaround team that generated a 25 X return for the investors over a 4 year period. From 1999-2001 he co-founded SNAZ, the first mobile commerce network. SNAZ was later acquired by Motorola. From 1997 to 1999 he was Fixed Income trading Associate at Banco Santander’s Emerging Markets Proprietary Trading desk. Vikram holds a Management degree from XLRI and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Senior Analyst: Abhishek Thaker

Mr. Abhishek Thaker leads the analyst team in identifying suitable investment opportunities, facilitating the investment process and monitoring the fund’s investments. He has over 5 years of experience in credit and risk assessment during his tenures at CRISIL a Standard & Poor's company, & CARE. Abhishek has a Commerce degree and a MBA in Finance.

Investment Research Associate: Heman Bhimani

Heman has 2 years of research and analysis experience working with S&P India, better known as CRISIL. At CRISIL he was responsible for tracking the Textiles industry amongst others.  He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (MBA).

Investment Research Associate: Praveen Rengaraj

Praveen has over 13 years of experience in the Tea and Coffee Plantation Industry in India. Till recently he conducted Tea auctions for J.Thomas & Co, which is the oldest and largest Tea Brokerage in the world.  His expertise includes optimizing Land usage on Estates and enhancing Production Process operations in distressed tea gardens.

Investment / Operations Analyst: Indranil Das

Indranil has 3 years of experience at BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited) as a maintenance engineer. He is a Mechanical engineer from I.I.T Kharagpur and has an MBA from I.I.M Ahmedabad.
