This policy explains what information Eight Capital Management (“we”, “us”) collects through eightcapital.com and the Seed Spotlight newsletter, and how we use it.
Information you give us
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address, used to send Seed Spotlight. It is stored with our email provider, Loops.
- LP deck and LP update requests: your email address, sent to our team by email (through our provider, Resend) so we can respond.
- Emails you send us: whatever you choose to include.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure visits, pages viewed and general location and device information.
- Visitor identification: we use Vector, a service that may match visits to publicly available professional information, such as a name, company or job title, so we can understand which organizations are interested in Eight Capital Management. Matched visits may be recorded in our CRM, Pipedrive.
- Article view counts: we count views of blog posts. This count does not identify you.
How we use information
- to send the newsletter and respond to requests;
- to understand how the Site is used and improve it;
- to follow up on professional interest in Eight Capital Management, including from prospective investors and founders;
- to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site and our communications (Loops, Resend, Google, Vector, Pipedrive and our hosting providers), when required by law, or as part of a transfer of our business.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from Seed Spotlight using the link in any email.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Ask us to access, correct or delete information we hold about you by writing to hello@eightcapital.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law, and use reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date above shows when it last changed.
